VIOLETTE_FR introduce two transitional shades to their infamous Lip Nectar collection
The new Lip Nectars that make a case for wearing your autumn shades all year long
French MUA Violette Serrat may have only started VIOLETTE_FR in 2021, but the brand has already made waves in the beauty world. Serrat had all the key ingredients needed to establish a successful beauty brand in the 21st century: high quality vegan, cruelty free products delivered in sustainable packaging, so it came as no surprise when the Lip Nectar Hydrating Lip Serum took home Allure’s Best of Beauty award for Best Lip Stain in 2025.
Riding high off the product’s success, VIOLETTE_FR has announced the arrival of two new shades joining the Lip Nectar line: Amarante Noir and Souci d’Automne. Like the rest of the hues in the collection, the new additions are enriched with the same oil-in-water emulsion technology using shea butter and hyaluronic acid, so unlike other lip tints, you can guarantee your lips will remain soft and hydrated across the eight hours it promises to hold up for.
Though darker in hue than most spring collections, the new additions have dropped at just the right time, on the cusp of the new season. Both colours embody the moment of transition between seasons, not just winter into spring, but summer into autumn too. When nature graces us with a kaleidoscope of rich colours unseen in the seasons’ extremes, warmth and darkness are allowed to coexist and flourish.
Amarante Noir takes inspiration from the black amaranth flower. A rich bordeaux shade, Serrat introduces the hue to honour the “storms and shadows” of nature, often overlooked in favour of nature’s more light and jovial tones. Whilst Amarante Noir perfectly compliments fairer, cool-toned skin, Souci d’Automne is introduced as a warmer alternative. A burnt sienna derived from autumn marigolds, it evokes the embers of an evening fire, where lighter nights are clinging onto winter’s cool winds.
