Marc Jacobs Beauty invites you to “leave your beauty Marc”

Marc Jacobs Beauty is back and it's brought its rebellious, maximalist spirit with it daisy-motif complexion products, 21 eyeliner shades and a philosophy that champions individuality over convention.

Recently we’ve seen a growing trend of high-end fashion brands tapping into the beauty market. La Beauté Louis Vuitton debuted last year, and Marc Jacobs is the latest to join the clan…sort of. Marc Jacobs Beauty actually debuted way back in 2013, but after closing up shop in 2021, its return to the market comes highly anticipated.

The line is punctuated by an anti-clean girl philosophy. A rebellious counterpart to minimalism, Marc Jacobs beauty is characterised by experimental use of colour, maximalist packaging and a ‘city-proof’ formula, built for easy application in a “New York minute” and all-day wear.

Operating on the same philosophy that grounded Jacobs’ 1993 “Grunge Collection” for Perry Ellis, the new Marc Jacobs Beauty champions individuality over convention, from product to packaging. That means heavily pigmented products and playful packaging made with the intention to become collector’s items. Designed by Jacobs himself, complexion products are packaged in the brand’s iconic daisy motif, with a five-point star for eyes and a heart for lips joining the line-up. As for what’s inside, there’s an impressive 21 different eyeliner and lipstick shades, as well as a wide range of high quality blushers, bronzers, eyeshadows and mascaras. Not bad for a debut. Though maximalism is Marc Jacobs’ aim, the impressive shade range means there’s a Marc Jacobs Beauty product for every aesthetic. Shop
