Dior’s Beauty Suite returns to Cannes

The 79th Cannes Film Festival has a secret weapon, and it's Dior's 350 square metre Beauty Suite on the sixth floor of the Majestic, where red carpet dreams are made.
Cannes you believe it’s that time of year again? That’s right, the 79th Film Festival is here, and with that so is Dior’s esteemed Beauty Suite.
Situated on the 6th floor of the Majestic hotel (recently attended by House Ambassadors Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson, to name a few), the Dior Suite offers top-notch skincare, make-up and grooming services in partnership with Peter Phillips and Dyson Beauty, to get VIP attendees red carpet ready.
This year, the suite is inspired by a beachy resort getaway with a costume couture twist. Think: blue and white stripes and draped curtains with scenes from a masquerade ball inspired by Christian Bérard’s illustrations for his long term friend and founder of the Maison, Christian Dior.
The suite includes a ‘room-within-a-room’ tent, housing a vanity table and a conversation-bench, because the best part of getting ready. The main reception room leans further into the resort-vibe, with palm tree shaped lamps, and a terrace with a sea view complete with sun loungers and parasols.

Overall, the suite takes up a whopping 350 square metres (bigger than my London flat, if you need a visual). As for the treatment specifications, massages and facials will be delivered under the guidance of House Ambassador and skincare expert Sarah Akram and Dior Global Wellness Expert Hadda Akrim, under a mirror lit with the neon Dior cannage motif.
Over at the make-up table, over a dozen make-up artists will be on hand to work their magic using products developed for Dior by Peter Phillips. Dior Vernis nail products will also be used in manicures, and Dior Sauvage Grooming Ambassador Bryce Tchaga will be there to provide a bespoke energizing grooming routine for the gents.
Alongside providing hair dryers and other such technologies, Dyson Beauty will also be using the opportunity to debut its new HushJet Mini Cool fan, made for festivals like these (but probably best left at home instead of taking it to Reading or Leeds).
Though most of us probably won’t be fortunate enough to visit the salon, you can view all images of its esteemed visitors by registering your email address at this link, and you can pine for an invite to next year’s celebrations in the meantime.
