Aaron Judge trades the stadium for a seductive new scent from Ralph Lauren

The New York Yankees captain is back as the face of Polo 67 Eau de Parfum Extreme, dropping the usual sporty freshness for something a lot more intoxicating.

Ralph Lauren Fragrances has released its third version of the Polo 67 line in three years, and this one is taking a detour from the fresh, sporty vibes for something much more intoxicating. Landing right on the heels of the previous versions, the new Polo 67 Eau de Parfum Extreme reworks the collection’s signature sweet pineapple scent, toning down the bright fruitiness and anchoring it with thick leather and woody notes instead.

To front the campaign, the brand brought back New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge. It is a smart pairing, as Judge carries a mix of aggressive on-field power and a more quiet dignity off the diamond, embodying exactly what the liquid in the bottle is trying to pull off – a presence that is completely untamed but entirely composed.

The blend opens up with bergamot and lemon oil, but the main hook is the reworked pineapple note. Instead of smelling like a breezy summer cocktail, the fruitiness here is warm, blending into earthy geranium and clary sage before settling into a deep base of Virginia cedarwood and heavy leather.

The visual aesthetic got a matching, moody makeover too. The classic, shiny Polo 67 flask has been swapped for a glass bottle finished in a completely matte, midnight blue. It looks like it could double for both a gym bag staple and a permanent fixture for a proper evening out.

The new edition is available now directly on RalphLauren.co.uk and over at The Fragrance Shop. If you want to try it out, the bottles are currently retailing at £50 for the 40ml size and £105 for the full 125ml heavy hitter.
