There’s a New Kith x Salomon Sneaker, and It’s Called the XT-EVO
Muddy hike or fashion week, the new Kith x Salomon XT-EVO claims it can do both.
Salomon’s rugged DNA just met Kith’s streetwear curation to produce the XT-EVO, a sneaker that will prepare you for both a muddy hike or a fashion week drop.
Encased in thick plastic armour and breathable mesh, the shoe uses the high-traction XT-6 sole unit, borrowed from Salomon’s cult trail-running shoe of the same name, the model widely credited with kicking off the whole “ugly trail shoe” trend in streetwear. Releasing in two colour schemes, brown and purple, or a standout yellow, it represents the duo’s first custom silhouette since their initial 2024 partnership.
Alongside the footwear comes the latest delivery from &Kin, a line founded by Ronnie Fieg, the New Yorker behind Kith itself, one of streetwear’s biggest names since he launched the brand in 2011. &Kin exists as a break from Kith’s usual big logos and hype-driven drops, built instead on th idea of elevated basics, using tailoring and higher-end fabrics. This season’s highlights include painted pony hair leather, indigo rope twill denim, and double-face herringbone flannel.
The entire lineup hits Kith shelves and digital platforms (online and the Kith App) this Friday, August 7th, at 11am across New York, London, Paris, and Tokyo.
