The British actor hits the Goodwood Racing Circuit to show off Church’s ultra-relaxed take on formal shoemaking.

Theo James is currently pushing a vintage Aston Martin down a pit lane in West Sussex, and he’s doing it in a pair of luxury suede derbies. The British actor has reunited with heritage shoemaker Church’s for their Autumn-Winter 2026 campaign, taking the new collection for a high-speed spin around the Goodwood Racing Circuit. The campaign trades boardroom suits for trackside picnics, champagne-soaked podium finishes and an unexpected cameo from a massive Great Dane.

Throughout the campaign film, James tests out the collection’s new “casual-smart” versatility through a series of chaotic race-day tasks. He starts out prepping on a spare tire wearing the tan, brogue‑detailed Sidley boot, handles the literal push‑start of that classic car in cocoa-brown Sidbury suede derbies and pairs the sharp Skipton Oxford with relaxed tailoring for lunch. A quick tea break right on the starting grid features the sleek Stanhope Chelsea boot, while the Farsley penny loafer handles the final trophy moment.

The collection drops as part of Church’s “New Formal” lineup, prioritising a lived‑in, confidence over rigid rules. The range is officially live right now at church-footwear.com and physical Church’s flagship boutiques worldwide.
