Tokyo-based power couple Yoon and Verbal collaborate with Audemars Piguet on a new limited edition timepiece.

For those familiar with Tokyo-based brand AMBUSH, the founders’ collaboration with Audemars Piguet may come as a bit of a surprise. What many people forget, however, is that the streetwear brand actually found its roots in the world selling jewellery. As such, AMBUSH co-founders and certified power couple Yoon and Verbal make the perfect team to collaborate with the Swiss luxury horology house.

The new Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon is executed in titanium with a shimmering black aventurine dial and vivid red tourbillon. Combining expert Swiss horology and fashion-forward materials, the watch is a surprising yet blissful matrimony between luxury watchmaking and contemporary streetwear codes.

The Royal Oak Concept is Audemars Piguet’s most futuristic and technically accomplished watch, and has an exoskeleton revealing the infamous Calibre 2892 mechanism. Though the dial remains the same across all of the watches in the limited 150 piece collection, one version of the Flying Tourbillon timepiece features a strap with vivid red metal fragments, which shimmer like glitter reflecting the light.

The watch was christened by an event in Seoul, featuring esteemed guests like Hailey Bieber, Arón Piper and Winnie Harlow alongside Yoon and Verbal. The event marked Audemars Piguet’s commitment to evolution and modernity, while the watch pays homage to the House’s signature style codes.
