Swarovski x Ariana Grande: New Fantasy Inspired Jewellery Collection Debuts for Spring
Ariana Grande’s new collection with Swarovski is fit for a princess, or a witch.
This spring, Swarovski brand ambassador Ariana Grande has debuted a second collection with the brand, and it’s very on theme for the singer/actor’s Glinda the Good Witch era. Since the release of Wicked, Grande has stepped into a softer era. No longer known for knee-high boots and length-defying ponytails, the ‘34+35’ singer has swapped oversized jumpers and sharp contour for soft, delicate glam. This maturity and move towards naturality Grande has displayed is reflected in this new capsule.
Inspired by dragonflies and flowers, the elegant capsule still retains the ethereal whimsy of Grande’s spirit. With rainbow hues and delicate craftsmanship, the pieces wouldn’t be seen out of place during the Wicked press tour, but are still wearable enough for every day. Working with Swarovski Creative Director Giovanna Engelbert, Grande debuts a 29-piece collection set in a fantasy garden, inspired by the Aurora Borealis.
Though Swarovski is a traditionally grown-up brand, this collection delicately toes the line between elegance and playfulness. Multicoloured, mix-cut stones are brought to life in the form of pastel dragonfly motifs adorning a Swarovski Zirconia necklace chain. The dragonfly emblem is seen again in brooch form, with pearlescent crystal wings catching natural light, and can also be attached to a chain decorated with Swarovski Crystal Pearls, like droplets of water. The collection explores flora as well as fauna, with pavé crystal stud earrings and a pearl centre, and a matching bracelet.
