See The Night Sky Move with the New Dior Watch

Dior has unveiled the Grand Soir Ciel de Granville, a new watch collection built around Christian Dior’s childhood home in Granville. The dial is engraved with gold foliage and mother-of-pearl flowers, set with diamonds and sapphires standing in for stars, plus the moon and the Aquarius constellation which is Dior’s own star sign.

A rotating dial sits underneath the decorative layer and completes a full turn every two hours, so the “sky” shifts position as time passes, rather than just sitting still as decoration. On the back, the Granville house is etched onto tinted glass, with the watch’s oscillating weight visible moving behind it.

The collection comes in four different night-sky colourways.
