The Italian house returns to its birthplace for Fall/Winter 26/27, with travertine, long shadows and a new jacket light as air.

Some houses chase what’s next. Brioni, ever the elder statesman of Italian tailoring, has gone home instead for its Fall/Winter 26/27 campaign, The Light of Rome.

Long shadows rake across pale travertine, leather outerwear and the suiting Brioni has been perfecting for over 80 years. The architecture of Rome is a sparring partner, monumental surfaces against soft cashmere, hard edges against the drape of a shoulder.

The cashmere Travel Jacket returns and there’s another new arrival in the Soffio jacket, spun from cashmere and vicuña. Soffio means breath in Italian, and with tailoring at this level, weightlessness is a flex. A jacket so light you forget you’re wearing it, no stiffness, no padding, hence the cashmere and vicuña, the latter being the most expensive wool in the world.

Rome runs deeper than the location. The collection’s palette is drawn from the city’s sunsets and stone, warm neutrals cut with aubergine, dusty rose, peacock green and burgundy, plus greys running from smoky to metallic. Elsewhere the collection loosens its collar, business suits worn with field jackets, tailoring set against denim.
