Roberto Cavalli’s Resort 2027 collection invites you to escape into desire

If your idea of a holiday wardrobe involves leopard print suits, peacock feathers and iridescent eye motifs, Roberto Cavalli's Resort 2027 collection was made specifically for you.
Liquid sensuality, sculpted silhouettes and abstract animal prints. If you try to sum up Roberto Cavalli’s Resort 2027 collection in three phrases, that’s probably about the best you could do. But Escaping into Desire is not easy to pin down. Not your average holiday collection, the capsule is underpinned by rebellion and attitude.
Roberto Cavalli has never been one to keep it simple. Maximalist prints and larger-than-life trains have punctuated the brand since the 1970s. The 2027 Resort collection is an extension of this, pulling influences from the brand’s origins as well as trending ’90s and Y2K motifs. More Hollywood than Hawaii, it’s the type of collection you’d expect to see Paris Hilton wearing, with a pair of oversized sunnies to match, of course.
As to be expected with the Maison, animal print takes centre stage in this capsule. There’s blue satin croc skin shirts and leopard print suits, zebra print jumpsuits and even a peacock feathered maxi dress. But the collection doesn’t stop at animal print, petals and foliage are woven throughout the pieces, as well as a striking iridescent eye motif.
Wet-look denim first introduced by the brand in 1988 also makes an appearance, alongside micro-studded bralettes and oversized pendants. Colour-wise, the collection explores everything from black and deep mauve to pastel pink and aquamarine. The vast, experimental collection is hard to summarise, but one thing is for sure: it’s anything but subtle.
