QWAH's New Collab Is Doing More Than Looking Good
Today (4th July), London’s legendary Pride parade takes to the streets of Soho, and Queer Was Always Here (QWAH) is throwing open the doors to its own pop up at BOYS! BOYS! BOYS!, the closing chapter of a three day residency that turned the venue into a hub for queer film, poetry, art and conversation, and the perfect stage for the collaboration.
Founded by actor and musician Sebastian Croft and actor and director Connor Jessup, QWAH has spent the past three years fusing culture with activism, channelling its energy into support for LGBTQIA+ refugees alongside partner charity Choose Love. This Pride, that mission takes a stylish new form: a limited edition t-shirt collaboration with London designer Geordie Campbell, known for reworking British menswear through a lens of masculinity, softness and queer coming of age.
The exclusive collection launched on 26 June and lands at the Soho pop up before heading online at qwah.shop. Proceeds goes to Say It Loud Club and Rainbow Railroad, two organisations doing vital work protecting LGBTQI+ people fleeing danger.
The residency itself has been a love letter to queer creativity, from JOMO.WRLD’s genre bending performance art to an evening of poetry hosted by fourteen poems, capped off with Croft’s own Queer Pub Quiz, all proof that Pride can still hold both the party and the purpose. Shop
