Moschino Gets Its Most Exciting Creative Directors Yet

Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo leave Sunnei behind and step into one of fashion's most iconic houses and their Moschino debut can't come soon enough.
Moschino has announced the appointment of Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo as its new Creative Directors, effective immediately. The duo, best known as the founders and creative forces behind Sunnei until September 2025, will now assume full creative responsibility for the Italian fashion house.
Their debut collection for Moschino will be unveiled in September 2026 during Milan Fashion Week, and if their track record at Sunnei is anything to go by, it’s already one of the most anticipated shows of the season.
Speaking on the appointment, Executive Chairman of Aeffe S.p.A Massimo Ferretti described the pair as possessing “a contemporary creative vision, a deep cultural sensibility and the ability to develop relevant and distinctive creative languages.”
Messina and Rizzo themselves cited Franco Moschino’s ability to challenge conventions as the draw. “Moschino has always embodied this attitude as a cultural house driven by a strong, recognisable and radical point of view,” they said, “using pop culture as a critical tool rather than merely an aesthetic language.”
Franco Moschino’s legacy is in good hands. We can’t wait for September.
