Alberto Caliri's Missoni SS27 is a chromatic love letter to summer geometric, fluid and unmistakably Missoni, whether you're by the sea or in the city.

There is a word for what Missoni does “Missonism” and for Spring Summer 2027, it feels very much alive. Under the creative direction of Alberto Caliri, the Italian house presents a Resort 2027 womenswear collection and Men’s SS27 offering a vision of summer not as a season, but as a state of mind to be explored both by the sea and in the city.

Founded in 1953 by Ottavio and Rosita Missoni, the brand has always traded in the language of colour and geometry, and that language is spoken fluently in this collection. Patterns move from faded, vibrant florals through dense earthy geometrics before ascending into metallic sparkle in a chromatic journey.

The women’s collection is dressed by the sea, but designed with looks that also work in the city. Shirts are knotted over shirts, men’s trousers pulled on beneath sundresses, knitwear thrown over denim,  bright florals giving way to earthy geometrics and a final flash of metallic. Silhouettes stay loose, with necklines, hems, and backs left open.

Menswear takes the same instinct in a more focused manner. Blues and light blues anchor a breezy palette punctuated with white and earthy accents. Loose blousons, bermuda shorts, polos, and swimwear carry the house’s signature geometric rhythms, making even the simplest piece unmistakably Missoni.

“My intention is to work on collections that communicate with each other in a single, unified way, while maintaining movement and variety,” says Caliri. The result is a collection that feels cohesive without feeling restrained.
