From Silver Lockit charms to a diamond-encrusted clock at Sotheby's, Louis Vuitton's 10th anniversary with UNICEF is the most powerful and generous milestone in the Maison's history.

In the modern world, big companies have a moral obligation to do their bit for society. Partnering with charities, organising fundraisers or spreading awareness, there are plenty of ways in which fashion houses can use their power for the greater good, but Louis Vuitton has gone above and beyond. This year, the Maison is celebrating 10 years of partnership with UNICEF, the world’s leading charity for children.

To mark the milestone, Louis Vuitton has announced a number of initiatives. Having previously focussed on the general education, health and protection of children worldwide, the House now moves forward with UNICEF to include programmes dedicated to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Led by the charity with renewed support from Louis Vuitton, the Power4Girls programme supports girls and women between the ages of 10 to 25 in finding access to better education, healthcare, protection services and professional training, while engaging with local communities and stakeholders to advocate for greater gender equality. With the help of Louis Vuitton, Power4Girls enables over 100,000 girls and women per year to gain access to essential services, while fostering a long-lasting community impact.

As for the rest of the initiatives, the House turns to sport. New editions of the Silver Lockit have been unveiled, including new football charms. Since its launch in 2016, the Silver Lockit has raised $28 million in funds for UNICEF, a number only projected to grow with the new additions to the collection. A new edition of the REBOUNDS book is also being published. First released to celebrate the 1998 World Cup, the book has undergone a refresh to tie in the Maison’s partnership with UNICEF. Perfect timing, too, as we look forward to the imminent 2026 World Cup. The book centres around the motif of a ball passing from person to person as a display of connection, and includes Louis Vuitton Ambassadors such as Céline Dion, Nigo and, now, UNICEF Ambassador Felix. This sentimental and beautiful coffee table book will be available to purchase from June.

The final, crown jewel initiative celebrating the partnership is the Louis Vuitton Unity Time Object. Taking its cue from the iconic Monogram canvas soccer ball, the object has a golden steel dome, golden brackets, over 260 diamonds and is, of course, powered by the horological mastery from La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. The one-of-a-kind clock will be sold exclusively at Sotheby’s between June 9-18, with a hammer price for UNICEF.
