Golden hour, glass houses and jewel-toned heels Jimmy Choo's SS26 campaign is the most stylish thing to come out of the Californian desert.

From The Kardashians to Selling Sunset, it feels like every high-end reality TV star is running away to Joshua Tree. Having traded its Mormon roots for five-star hotels and creative retreats, the Californian desert area is (both figuratively and literally) in Vogue. So when the creative team behind Jimmy Choo came to deciding the SS26 shoot location, only one place would do.

The Natural Reflection campaign captures the essence of the Joshua Tree paradox, a raw wilderness punctuated by sharp modern architecture, shot in the infamous Invisible House. Bathed in golden-hour light, the house’s glass facade reflects the landscape back onto itself and dissolves into pools of water, so mirage and reality are inextricably intertwined. The warm tortoiseshells and jewel tones that perforate the collection translate beautifully across the landscape.

The hero pieces from the collection are two evolutions of the House’s signature drop heel silhouette. The tortoiseshell Glacé Mule is propped up by a translucent amber wedge, and its more playful counterpart, the Jelly Drop comes in translucent lagoon blue and sunset orange. Last year marked the return of the flip-flop in high fashion, with the shoe becoming the ultimate staple for an off-duty model look. Of course, Jimmy Choo has released their own spin on the style more appropriate for 2026. The Emeri Stone Thong Sandal features a delicate kitten heel and a singular jewel which balances on bare skin.

The collection is completed by a range of bags, including the Cinch, which comes in  a verdant green or natural raffia, both colours found naturally in Joshua Tree’s desert landscape. Concurrent with the other pieces in the capsule, the bag is finished with rich resin beads scattered across a leather handle.

Taking elements from nature and incorporating them into unequivocally modern silhouettes, the Jimmy Choo SS26 collection plays on the paradoxes of Joshua Tree, which sits between natural and manufactured, ancient and modern.
