Dior adds new pieces to the sentimental Rose des Vents jewellery collection
Stars, moons and compass roses rendered in the colours of the Northern Lights, Dior's beloved Rose des Vents collection has never looked more enchanting.
In Christian Dior’s childhood home of Villa Les Rhumbs, a rose mosaic lies in the garden grounds. A compass rose, the mosaic was installed by the shipmaker who first owned the home as an ode to the voyages that brought him home. Over a century after its creation, this mosaic inspired artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, Victoire de Castellane, to create the Rose des Vents collection of fine jewellery.
The collection has been in circulation for eleven years, and celebrated a decade last year with the introduction of celestial motifs as a nod to Christian Dior’s superstitious tendencies. This year, the collection expands on this theme with the introduction of celestial jewellery in colour.
The central motif explored in the 2026 collection is the eight-pointed star, accompanied by a sun and moon. Previously featuring on a necklace, bracelet and earrings in gold, the ensemble is now accompanied by a selection of brightly coloured gemstones which evoke the illuminations of the Northern Lights. The original compass rose from which the collection takes its name is also present in the form of a charm across the collection, on a backdrop of precious gems like tiger’s eye and mother-of-pearl.
The final piece in the collection is a watch concealed by a medallion. The timepiece sits on a chain punctuated by pendants featuring other beloved Dior House motifs, like the bee and the lily of the valley. The piece can be worn as a necklace or on a belt, so your lucky charms can accompany your journey no matter what.
