Diane von Furstenberg announces Henry Zankov as the new Artistic Director

Henry Zankov returns to Diane von Furstenberg as Artistic Director and his debut NYFW show this September is already the most anticipated appointment of the season.
In the fashion world, there’s arguably nothing more exciting than when a House announces the appointment of a new Artistic Director. As tastemakers and cultural purveyors, these linchpins directly influence every detail of a brand, from its overall identity to the individual pieces sold in stores. That’s why we here at Cable are itching to see what Henry Zankov does as the newly announced Artistic Director of Diane von Furstenberg.
Zankov has a rich history with the American fashion house, having first joined the label in 2014. After having spent four years with DVF, Zankov parted ways with the company to establish his own label, ZANKOV. 2025, however, saw his return. Finding time for both DVF and his personal endeavours, Zankov designed a collection for the Maison which debuted at Bergdorf Goodman last September.
In a full-circle moment, his first expected venture as Artistic Direct of DVF is set to be his debut show in September at New York Fashion Week. Speaking on the announcement, Diane von Furstenberg herself said she was excited to see Zankov “seduce a new generation” with the allure of DVF, with the help of CEO Graziano de Boni. Like von Furstenberg, Zankov’s reputation is punctuated by glamour and vibrant femininity, and we can’t wait to see what he has in store.
