Casablanca travels to Egypt for the pre-fall 2026 collection
Sand dunes, hieroglyphs and a banana-shaped leather bag Casablanca's pre-fall collection takes an unexpected detour to ancient Egypt, and it's the most cinematic fashion moment of the season.
Parisian brand Casablanca has always been inspired by modern apres-sports style codes, so the announcement that the House’s pre-fall collection was shot in an ancient Egyptian landscape might come as a surprise, but, strangely, it works.
The backdrop is inspired by cinematic classics like Death on the Nile and The Prince of Egypt. Think: sand dunes, monolithic props and starry constellations. Using digital production, the stage is both ancient and futuristic, making it the perfect backdrop for the modern capsule which incorporates ancient motifs.
For the collection, the Casablanca monogram is reimagined, informed by the mother-of-pearl inlays seen on historic table games like backgammon. Other pieces, like silk shirts, take Egyptian hieroglyphs and reliefs and impose them on colour gradients of emerald, terracotta and gold.
Though the colour palettes and motifs are inspired by the ancient, the silhouettes are distinctly modern. There’s crop tops, wrap-around sunglasses and fleece hoodies, as well as signature House silhouettes like the Del Mar sneaker and the banana-shaped leather bag which debuted in the SS26 collection.
The collection and lush imagery weaves together mythology, astronomy and history into a distinctly modern tapestry that is unmistakably Casablanca. Shop
