Daniel Lee sends a group of friends into the British countryside for Burberry's Autumn 2026 campaign and Moses Martin, Edie Campbell and a classic English manor estate make it the most warmly convincing thing the house has done in years.

There is something very specifically British about a summer road trip. The spontaneity of it, the winding country roads, the impromptu stops in villages you have never heard of, the sense that the day could go anywhere. Burberry’s Autumn 2026 campaign, Escape to the Countryside, has built an entire collection around that feeling, and it is one of the most warmly convincing things the house has done in a while.

The campaign stars Moses Martin in his debut fashion appearance, alongside Edie Campbell, Nora Attal and Sang Woo Kim. The four of them pile into a car, swap city views for rolling hills framed through open windows and end their journey at Deene Park, a classic English manor estate in Northamptonshire. Martin’s band, People I’ve Met, provides the soundtrack with the song For Hire, and the whole thing feels less like a fashion campaign and more like a home video from a very stylish summer.

“A road trip is a very British thing to do,” says Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee. “Getting into your car, heading out to the countryside and seeing where the day takes you. That idea of exploration has always been part of Burberry. Listening to music on a long drive becomes part of the memories you make along the way.”

The collection reflects that spirit without overcomplicating it. House Check accessories in archive beige sit at the heart of the offering, designed to transition seamlessly from town to country, including the zip tote, bucket bag and Primrose and Pocket styles in coated canvas. Cotton piqué polo shirts and check bikinis handle the summer essentials, while outerwear covers both eventualities of any British summer day. The men’s mid-length Leadenham trench is made from water-resistant cotton gabardine, and the women’s Tillydrine is a lightweight coat with a ruched, flared hem and antique-finish hardware.

It is a collection rooted in Burberry’s archive and genuinely useful for the kind of life the campaign depicts. Which is, when you think about it, exactly what a great British summer wardrobe should be.
