Comunión is Willy Chavarria at his most personal a collection built on inheritance, togetherness and the kind of beauty that lives in faded kitchen walls and hand-stitched handkerchiefs.

Willy Chavarria closed out a star-studded Friday in Paris with the unveiling of their unisex collaboration with UGG which arrives this autumn, as well as their own SS27 show, “Comunión.”

Following its Paris debut, the collection will roll out exclusively through a virtual try-on platform at ai.willychavarria.com, powered by Swap, letting shoppers preview and pre-order looks within weeks of the show rather than waiting for a traditional retail release.

The show was staged at Espace Niemeyer on June 26 and drew the likes of Romeo Beckham, Knicks athlete, and Bella Freud, designer walking the runway, while musicians Maluma, Tove Lo, and Nina Kraviz joined filmmaker Gaspar Noé and footballers Myles Lewis-Skelly and Jonathan Dos Santos in the front row.

The collection centres on themes of togetherness and inheritance, drawing inspiration from the textures of a family home such as faded kitchen walls, hand-stitched handkerchiefs, and floral pillowcases and tablecloths. The colour palette features Willy Red, Purple Cielo, Plastic Pink, Copper Green, Celestial Blue, and Lilac which the brand described as “colours of optimism,” alongside strong-shouldered shift dresses, a cascading lace gown, and a sheer trenchcoat with heat-imprinted vinyl flowers. Tailoring played a major role too, with suiting often cut into a relaxed, schoolboy-inspired silhouette, while the expanding womenswear line featured draped silk dresses, voluminous cocktail looks, and leather miniskirts paired with work shirts.

Beyond the clothes, the presentation leaned into sensory ritual: guests received a handcrafted driftwood “palito” scented with XINÚ’s FlordeMusgo fragrance, and The Ordinary returned as skincare partner for a shared backstage prep experience open to models and crew alike.

The show also marked the first runway appearance of an upcoming collaboration between Chavarria and UGG, teasing three unisex styles: the Guard Boot, the Biker, and the Hotel Chavarria Slipper ahead of a full launch this fall. Chavarria described the project as exploring “the tension between the toughness and grit of biker culture and the warm, welcoming embrace of UGG’s iconic silhouettes.”
