Lucia & The Best Boys Release New Single ‘Better For The Worse’
Lucia & The Best Boys have spent the summer playing every festival worth playing and Better For The Worse is proof that the best is still to come.
Glasgow’s Lucia & The Best Boys has released “Better For The Worse” following a run of festival dates including The Great Escape, Get Together, Dot to Dot and the Isle of Wight Festival, where Lucia was joined by longtime friend and former bandmate Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party for the live debut of their duet “Big Romance.”
Sonically, the song has drawn comparisons to Florence + The Machine, carrying a distinctly Scottish pop noir edge. Its accompanying video was filmed at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom, a venue with deep personal roots for Lucia, whose grandparents once danced there, and where she’ll return for a headline show on 23 October.
“Better For The Worse” is the latest preview of forthcoming album Picking Petals, out 31 July via Communion Records, recorded with producer Yves Rothman at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studios in Glasgow.
