Louis Vuitton announces the House’s Cruise 2027 show location

Following in Jonathan Anderson and Dior’s footsteps, Louis Vuitton has just announced its Cruise 2027 show location: an esteemed art gallery. The show will take place on May 20 2026 at The Frick Collection in New York, and will be the first ever fashion activation held in the historic first-floor galleries.

Though we’ve yet to be told details about the collection, the show’s location is a dead giveaway that it’s set to be something truly special: no fashion house would be willing to showcase its pieces in an art gallery unless it was sure that they were equally as impressive as the artworks surrounding them.

With the announcement of the show location also comes the announcement of a three year museum sponsorship by Louis Vuitton. The House has always been a committed patron of the arts, and has continued this patronage with renewed vigour in 2026 with Foundation Louis Vuitton supporting artists at the 61st International Art Exhibition in Venice. News of the Frick sponsorship reaffirms the continued dialogue between fashion and art in the Louis Vuitton world.

The sponsorship culminates in a Curatorial Research position held by Yifu Liu, whose work focuses on the hybridisation of artistic practices between Europe and China in the eighteenth century, and the introduction of Louis Vuitton First Fridays, offering free public access to the museum on the first Friday of the month. Accessibility and globalisation remain central pillars of the partnership, supported in equal parts by both the New York institution and the French fashion house.
