beabadoobee Announces New Album Pylon Out This September

Written partly in a hotel room she can't place, Pylon come out 18 September with guest turns from Deftones' Chino Moreno and Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall.
beabadoobee wrote Switchblade in a hotel room and can’t remember which state she was in. It features on Pylon, her fourth album that comes out 18 September via Dirty Hit and Interscope, which is all about accepting that hard feelings keep coming back.
Switchblade is out now, being the second single from the album following last month’s Sun Has Set. It opens on acoustic guitar and a bassline that just repeats patiently, until a scorched electric riff and a wash of feedback breaks through near the end. She’s cited midwest emo as a reference point.
Pylon pulls in some heavy names, where Pinegrove’s Evan Stephens Hall, Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Title Fight’s Shane Moran all appear, while Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975 produced Write Me A Letter. It follows This Is How Tomorrow Moves, her first UK Number 1.
She’s also announced the Powerlines Tour, her first arena run kicking off 1 October and taking in Madison Square Garden and The O2 among stops across North America, the UK and Europe.
